Looking Back at 2018…

January 1st has come and gone and with it, the new year has begun! 2019 has a lot of exciting things in store, and we can’t wait to share them with you. But before we dive into 2019, let’s spend some time looking back at 2018.

2018 was a huge year for us at Noritake Australia. Not only was it our 60th anniversary, we also launched so many amazing products that you loved!

Cher Blanc

An incredible addition to our Giftware range, Cher Blanc was an instant best-seller the moment we introduced it. The classic elegance of the range, coupled with the fine craftsmanship, have made Cher Blanc one of our most popular collections. The range has now also expanded to include new items such as Soup Plates and Dinner Plates – keep your eyes peeled for more additions to this collection in this new year!

City Dawn

With its gorgeous metallic pattern and intricate geometric detailing, there’s no wonder that City Dawn has become one of 2018’s best additions. Sold as a 20-piece dinner set, City Dawn features dinner plates, entree plates and soup plates, as well as matching tea cups and saucers. This range is also available in select David Jones stores.

Linen Road

Linen Road was definitely one of our more avant-garde designs. We took a chance on it, and it was well-worth it! The design on Linen Road is unlike anything else; the rim of the products features a subtle tactile pattern that needs to be seen – and felt! – to be believed. Timeless elegance is the phrase that jumps to mind when thinking about Linen Road. This range is also available in select David Jones stores.

Bel Vino

Arguably our most exciting launch of 2018 was Bel Vino, a Noritake-branded glassware range. Designed in Italy, this collection features Champagne, Red Wine and White Wine glasses. Elegant, sophisticated and durable, Bel Vino is the embodiment of everything Noritake stands for!

IVV Sixties

Another exciting collection we launched, Sixties is a gorgeous and fun range that comes from straight from Italy. IVV is a renowned glassware maker, and our relationship with them continues to go from strength to strength. Sixties are available in four stunning colour palettes that can suit any style and occasion!

Komon

Komon is one of our best-seller collections and this year, we’ve added more to the range. We added Japanese-style Tea Cups, Noodle Bowls and Dipping Dishes to the collection. The items feature the beloved Black and White geometric patterns.

Nami

Further, we added Nami only last month and already, the range is flying off the shelves! The collection features porcelain Rice Bowls, Multi Bowls and Dipping Bowls. ‘Nami’ means ‘Tide’ in Japanese, and no name could be more perfect. The blue and white palette evoke images of the ocean – no wonder why it’s such a hit!

What’s next…

While it’s been fun looking back at 2018, it’s time to start looking to the future. 2019 is going to be a huge year – try to keep up!
