Warranty
The lifetime of Noritake products is dependent on how they are used and maintained. We guarantee that all Noritake products are free from defect in material and craftsmanship under intended use. We will, offer a discount, replacement or refund for any defective product within 1 year of purchase. This does not include any damage caused by misuse, accident, abuse, negligence or by not following care instructions specified by Noritake Australia. Noritake Australia will use discretion and investigate on a case by case basis.
We hope this information will help you keep your Noritake tableware beautiful and long lasting for generations to come.
This warranty does not exclude, restrict, or modify any state or federal legislation applicable to the supply of goods and services.
Conditions of the Anti-Chipping Guarantee
The guarantee is valid for all Noritake branded products that are labelled with “Chip Resistant” for 12 months
The guarantee only applies to premium new products from the date on the invoice and is only valid upon presentation of the original invoice. The guarantee covers chips that occur during normal use (chilling, serving, washing and storage). All chips that result from non-standard or improper use, as well as complete or partial breakage of the chinaware, are excluded from this guarantee.
Noritake reserves the right to check whether the chip originated during normal use by checking the defective products in any situation by requesting the return of the entire product for assessment if required
In the case of a claim and at the discretion of Noritake Australia, products shall either be replaced, or the purchase value of the products shall be refunded. Products that are exchanged are then deemed the property of Noritake Australia
In the event of a successful claim, the original guarantee will neither be renewed nor extended.
Epoch
Please note: the backstamp on the products will state EPOCH Collection.
Please be aware Epoch is a sub-brand of Noritake, it is still designed, produced, and manufactured by Noritake. However, it is created with premium Ivory porcelain – which allows for affordability but still maintaining Noritake’s high standard quality product.
The Japanese Ceramics
Please note: the backstamp on the products will state “The Japanese Ceramics”
We have collaborated with The Japanese Ceramics to create beautiful and traditional Japanese dinnerware. Made in Japan these products are distributed by Noritake Australia – Please note that this item is not a Noritake branded product. These products are produced and manufactured by “The Japanese Ceramics” dinnerware company.

We have done our best to display as accurately as possible images and colours, including of products, shown on this Web site. When you purchase goods from the Web site you enter into a contract with Noritake and accept that you will be bound by the Terms and Conditions operating at the time you placed your order with Noritake.
When you purchase goods from the Web site the following terms and conditions form part of these Terms and Conditions:

- The prices displayed on this Web site are quoted in Australian Dollars (inclusive of GST) and are valid and effective only in Australia;
- Orders on this Web site are accepted only for delivery to addresses within Australia;
- Orders made by you for goods on the Web site are not binding on Noritake until accepted by Noritake;
- The prices shown on the Web site for goods are subject to alteration without notice, subject to any applicable laws in Australia;
- Any order placed by you on this Web site is an offer to purchase a particular product for the price specified on the Web site at the time of order. You acknowledge that, by placing an order, you are agreeing to pay for the product(s) ordered and to accept delivery of the product(s) at your nominated delivery point. Title in and possession of goods purchased from the Web site remains with Noritake until all money owing for those goods has been paid by you and received by Noritake. Goods will not be despatched to you until payment has been received by Noritake in full. Payment can only be made by Visa or MasterCard or Direct Bank Deposit (no other form of payment will be accepted). You do have rights to a remedy under statute if the goods do not correspond with the description, sample or demonstration model provided . - Unless stated otherwise, you must pay the costs of transportation/delivery to the place of delivery for goods you specified, for all goods you have purchased from the Web site. Please see our link on this Web site headed “Delivery Policy” for further delivery costs and details;
- Subject to any applicable laws, goods you have purchased from the Web site are at your risk immediately on delivery to your nominated address. Noritake will only accept the risk of loss of, or damage to, product(s) only up to the point of where the product is delivered, subject to any applicable laws. Risk of loss and title for the product(s) pass to you upon delivery to your nominated delivery point;

- Noritake may, in its absolute discretion, reject or cancel orders, including but not limited due to invalid payment and Web site errors, subject to any applicable laws;
- All orders are final and cannot be cancelled or changed by you once placed , unless otherwise approved by Noritake;
- To place an order, you must provide all of the requested details. If you do not supply any of the mandatory details requested Noritake will not be able to process your order.
Liability
To the full extent permitted by law and except as otherwise provided herein, Noritake excludes all terms, conditions, warranties or representations whether express or implied. To the full extent permitted by law, Noritake excludes all liability howsoever arising (including from negligence) for any loss or damage arising in connection with any goods or services supplied by Noritake, or in connection with these Terms and Conditions and Web site. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits, excludes or modifies the statutory consumer guarantees as provided under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 or any other implied warranties under the ASIC Act or similar consumer protection laws in Australia, except where Noritake is legally permitted to do so. If it is legally permitted to do so, then Noritake limits its liability to the following: (1) in the case of goods, one or more of the following at Noritake’s discretion: (a) the replacement of the goods or the supply of the equivalent goods; (b) the repair of the goods; (c) the payment of the cost of replacing the goods or of acquiring equivalent goods; or (d) the payment of having the goods repaired; and (2) in the case of services: (a) the supplying of the services again; or (b) the payment of the cost of having the services supplied again.
Indemnification
To the fullest extent permitted by law , you agree to defend, indemnify and hold Noritake, its subsidiaries, related entities, directors, officers, employees, agents and suppliers harmless from and against any and all claims, damages, costs, losses, liabilities and expenses, including but not limited to attorneys’ fees, arising directly or indirectly as a result of your use of or access to the Web site or any breach or violation of these Terms and Conditions.
Protection of our Web Site and Others
We may disclose information you provide to our Web site when we believe such disclosure is appropriate to comply with the law; to enforce or apply our Terms and Conditions and other agreements; or to protect the rights, property or safety of Noritake, our sites, our users or others.
Termination
Noritake may terminate this agreement and your access to the Web site and the Content at any time without notice.
In the event of termination you must immediately cease accessing and using the Web site and the Content and (at Noritake option) return or destroy any hard copies of the Content to Noritake and any other electronic copies of the Content within your control or possession. Noritake Australia Eshop Delivery Policy
Delivery Time
If products are in stock , Noritake Australia will normally dispatch your order within 3 business days of accepting your order. After dispatch, the order should arrive within 2-10 business days depending on your location. Please ensure you enter the correct delivery address as parcels that are returned to us as undeliverable will incur a re-delivery fee. From time to time there may be a slight delay in delivery and delivery may take a little longer due to an unexpected stock shortfall or for other unexpected reasons. If we are unable to dispatch your order for any reason, we will notify you as soon as reasonably possible. Noritake will not be responsible for any delay in delivery of any product(s) caused by, or in any way connected with, any cause beyond the reasonable control of Noritake.
Delivery Options
Orders are dispatched through our contracted courier as a door to door receipted delivery. It is thus important that the delivery address is one where there is someone present during the day to sign for the delivery. Please be advised that Noritake Australia will not be liable for any losses or damages (including but not limited to if the parcel is stolen or damaged.
Delivery Charges
Orders valued at or under $200 will incur Delivery & Handling charge of $9.99. Orders over $200 will not be charged delivery fees. Free delivery charge refers to 1 order and 1 delivery destination; multiple orders may not be combined.
Re-Delivery Charges
If your order is returned to Noritake Australia as undeliverable due to insufficient or incorrect delivery address provided, it will incur re-delivery charge regardless of total amount of your order. Subject to our Returns Policy, freight charges paid for the original dispatch are not refundable.
Delivery Outside Australia
Noritake Australia does not ship our products outside Australia.
Noritake Australia Return Policy
At Noritake, we believe quality brand should not only be about bringing beautiful quality products, but should also be about providing quality service. If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase your made via noritake.com.au, please follow the relevant procedure below and contact our Customer Service team.
Defects and Faults
If the product/s arrive faulty or damaged due to a genuine manufacturing fault or defect or due to breakage during delivery, please contact our Customer Service to organise for the product(s) to be returned, then return the product(s), unless instructed otherwise, along with your proof of purchase and a written reason for the return of the product(s) in accordance with the instructions provided to you.
Subject to the requirements set out in the Australian Consumer Law, Noritake will (a) if the failure is a major failure at your option either arrange for a replacement with an identical or comparable product(s), or issue a refund of the purchase price of the faulty/damaged product/s; or (b) if the failure is not a major failure, at Noritake’s option, repair or replace the product(s). Goods presented for repair may be replaced by refurbished goods of the same type rather than being repaired. Refurbished parts may be used to repair the goods .
Returns will not be accepted by Noritake if the fault or damage to the product which has made it of unacceptable quality has been caused by an accident, or by neglect or by abnormal use , by either you or a third party or if you fail to take reasonable steps to prevent the product from becoming of unacceptable quality.
Change of Mind
Undamaged and unused items in its original condition and packaging may be returned to us within 14 days of order delivery due to change of mind. If you are requesting a refund, the cost of the product(s) will be refunded upon receipt of the returned products. We will notify you via email once your refund has been processed. Any delivery costs associated with the original order will not be refunded (unless the product is broken/faulty). Any delivery costs relating to the return will not be covered and will be your responsibility. Please quote your order and/or invoice number clearly on the return.
Gift Voucher Terms and Conditions
By purchasing a gift voucher you agree that, by their very nature, are not cash and are subject to inherent restrictions and limitations. You also agree that you have read and will abide by the terms and conditions below.
- Gift vouchers will be sent via email to the email address specified on ‘The Recipient’ section at the checkout page. You will also be notified when the gift voucher is sent to the recipient.
- Gift vouchers will be sent via email, once the payment is made.
- As gift vouchers are sent electronically via email, no delivery fee will be charged.
- Gift vouchers cannot be exchanged or redeemed for cash.
- Gift vouchers can only be used to exchange for goods that are available at our online shopping site www.noritake.com.au.
- You cannot purchase a gift voucher with a gift voucher. We reserve the right to cancel your order if you try to do this.
- Each gift voucher has a unique coupon code which you must enter at the checkout page in order to apply the gift voucher amount to your order.
- You cannot specify the amount of gift voucher to be used. If your order total is less than the gift voucher value, you will be able to use the remaining value of the gift voucher for your next purchase.
- The gift voucher cannot be used in conjunction with any other gift vouchers.
- There is a three years expiry date on all gift vouchers. Three years from the date the gift voucher is delivered via email.
- When used, the gift voucher coupon code will deduct the value of the voucher from the total of the shopping cart. Delivery & Handling charge of $9.99 will be applicable for all orders below $200.
- The recipient of the gift voucher must reside and require the goods to be delivered to a valid address in Australia.
